The two figures represent the sculptures that often adorn and protect our homes across the world. Taking inspiration from antique British Staffordshire dog pairs, this piece also is an exploration to my grandmother’s history. The idea that we protect our homes as a pair is a reflection of the strength in marriage or the union of two people, which has been a significant discovery in my own life. The dogs celebrate our bond and the nurturing of family.
